I am Jonathan Juursema. I am a 19-year-old first-year Creative Technology student at Twente University. You are now viewing my website and portfolio.

My current occupation is studying Creative Technology, a new study course which specializes, no - diverges, on different fields. Creative Technology is all about looking beyond the borders of the field you are working in, searching for unconventional solutions to technical challenges. In the basis one can say Creative Technology is a hodgepodge of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design and Business courses. The goal of the course is to teach students to use existing technology to create new products which can improve daily life.

Besides studying Creative Technology I am currently employed by a small company called Opquo Solutions. Among other things, this company offers web-solutions to small and mid-sized companies. Within Opquo Solutions I am responsible for server administration and web development. During my time here I have developed several websites. These can be found in my webdevelopment portfolio.

In my spare time I enjoy myself in and around the university. I joined Creative Technology's study association Proto and have since then participated in several committees. Together with the activity committee I have organised mid-sized events ranging from LAN-parties and barbecue evenings to TED-talk evenings. The website committee is currently developing a smartphone application for the members of the study association, containing information about time-tables, activities and more. Apart from this I work behind the counter in the faculty's non-profit computer shop: IAPC. Last but cretainly not least I enjoy theatersports (improvisation theater) every week together with other members of Pro Deo. Also, this year's national student championship in theatersports is coming to Twente University this year, with me being in the organising committee.

Besides all activities around the university I enjoy listening to and making music. During vacations and other trips I enjoy photography.
